For extreme heavy bikes, extreme or race use: SAE 12.5 or 15. Drain forks completely, remove fork springs. Fit fork tubes exactly vertical in a vise one at a time. Compress the fork fully. Remove all the air from the fork by moving the outer tube and the damper rod 10 to 20 times slowly up and down. Top up the compressed forks with fork oil to 100mm under the edge, decompress forks and install fork springs and top nuts.
